MajorGiving.com has helped Northwest Public Radio through several phrases of development growth. First, we helped them build and sustain a giving club of $1,000 donors and coached a number of staff members in best donor management practices.
After a hiatus of a couple of years and a change in leadership, Northwest Public Radio asked MajorGiving.com and Robert Stein to work with them in moving their giving club to the next level, first as part of the CPB-funded Leadership for Philanthropy program, and then directly.
MajorGiving.com is proud to continue this association, as we assist them in building their case for support, both for special capital projects and institutionally. Our work includes helping them integrate Moves ManagementTM practices into their donor work, screening and identifying their top prospects and developing specific donor strategies for large gift requests.
Our work with the Pacific Crest Trail Association has been multi-faceted:
We first worked with them to enhance their club giving program, the Trail Guardians and have helped them create a $10,000 annual giving program, along with a board giving program. Other activities with them have included board development, major gift coaching for specific donors, as well as data screening and analysis.
In 2012 we were asked to assist them in overhauling their membership program. Build upon an older model of direct mail saturation, PCTA's annual membership program had been experiencing a steady decline in revenue and escalating costs. Following a donor-centered approach, we developed strategies and materials that have greatly reduced costs, increased net revenue, while building lasting communication bridges to the community of donors who love the PCT and are deeply committed to its preservation.
