Peter C. Kote is the founder of Professional Fiduciary Services (PFS). Since 1996, Peter has served as a Professional Fiduciary while working full time as the Estate Planning and Gifts Director for Long Beach State University and the Orange County American Red Cross.

Mr. Kote was a Trust Officer with Wachovia Trust and learned financial planning and investments with the Association for Financial Planning in Atlanta, Georgia. His social services background is derived from his work experience as a teacher, teen center director with the Youth Development Project in Long Beach and family counselor training with Father Flanagan's Boys and Girls Home in Omaha, Nebraska.

Peter's nonprofit experience includes: The National Conference of Christians and Jews, the American Heart Association, Long Beach State University, Casa Colina, the American Red Cross, South County Senior Services and Public broadcasting. He has assisted people in donating millions of dollars to nonprofit organizations, benefiting both the individual and the organization. Peter is past president of the Orange County Planned Giving Round Table. He currently serves as Vice President of the Board of Directors for the Laguna Canyon Foundation and is a Board Member of the Laguna Beach SchoolPower Endowment Fund. Peter has initiated a number of planned giving programs including those at Long Beach State University, American Heart Association and the American Red Cross. Peter's planned giving clients include MajorGiving.com (public radio and and television stations), Senior Services and the Laguna Canyon Foundation along with many others.

Peter holds degrees from California State University at Fullerton and he obtained his Juris Doctor from Western State College of Law. He is licensed as a Registered Investment Advisor in addition to being registered with the California Attorney General's office and the Orange County Superior Court as a fiduciary.

He has served as an adjunct faculty member at Hope International University in Fullerton and taught at the UCI Continuing Education Program and California State University at Long Beach. He regularly conducts an eight week workshop series on real estate and financial and estate planning called "It's Your Money" and "It's Your Estate." Both programs are now being held at senior centers throughout Orange County. Peter is married with a son and lives in Laguna Beach, California. His wife, Barbara Willey, C.P.A., specializes in the estate and gift tax accounting field.
