George Lombardi is the innovator and designer of MG Rater Pro, MajorGiving.com's premium data overlay and predictive software that eliminates the guesswork from identifying and targeting major gift prospects. He is also the author of MGTracker, the contact management software designed exclusively for MajorGiving.com.  This dynamic program embodies all of the practices and philosophies behind the work of the Major Giving Alliance, and Lombardi has made it a robust and effective tool that interfaces with all of public broadcasting's legacy software systems.

Since 1982, George Lombardi has served as the general manager of the WSHU public radio stations, licensed to Sacred Heart University in Fairfield, Connecticut, and serving Connecticut and Long Island.  During this time, he has redirected the station to become financially independent and professionally staffed.  He has overseen the development of WSHU as a Public Radio Station, qualifying for CPB funding and joining NPR in 1984.  Currently the station employs 21 full-time staff and serves a weekly audience of over 200,000 listeners in Connecticut and Long Island, New York with an annual budget of over $3,000,000.

His responsibilities include the oversight of all fundraising efforts, financial, technical, marketing, program production, broadcast negotiations and programming aspects of the WSHU Public Radio Group, including all of its radio stations, translators, and auxiliary transmitters, and other New Media ventures undertaken by the Group and the University.

Lombardi also works as a technical consultant for MajorGiving.com, serving as its “Data Czar.”

He holds a Bachelor of Science Degree in Mathematics from Sacred Heart University, and attended the Bridgeport Engineering Institute.  He lives in Trumbull, Connecticut with his wife Patricia.
